This year's two weeks seminars in Wakulla Springs will be
focused on the Soul of Tai Chi, the first week from, October 24 - October 31 and
Spirit of the Liu He Ba Fa, the second week from, October 31- November 7, 2010.
Tai Chi, which is illustrated through the Yin Yang symbol of universal energy
flow, appears simple but its impact on the human body and mind is stunning and
profound. Tai Chi shows us the ultimate way to move our body and energy.
At the seminar, you will have the opportunity to fully explore this concept and
understand how to move the body and energy in the form practice, push hands and
meditation.
Liu He Ba Fa is an art that combines Hsing i, Ba Gua and Tai Chi. This
understanding helps to develop the intense qualities of striking like lightning,
twisting like a tornado and emerging like the ocean in the martial art aspect.
Furthermore, it has 64 sets of movements - each one represents specific energy
development that fits into the 64 hexagram in the I Ching. From the beginning of
the form which starts with 'stop the cart ask for direction' to the end of the
form 'Chi rise up to the Kuen Lun mountain', a beautiful map pointing out a
very sophisticated, energy work in the Taoist practice to achieve the full
physical and spiritual development will be laid out.
I will share all these treasures that I never felt I fully explained enough to
help everyone get the soul of Tai Chi Chuan and the spirit of Liu He Ba Fa
- remember all levels are welcome. The knowledge and understanding you will gain
at the seminar will be beneficial for a lifetime no matter what background you
have!
